BMYCOACH is a website that will develop over the coming months and years into a resource for those who are interested in the development or improvement of athletes and coaches. The resource was originated by Tony Bennett, who is a Master Professional of the Professional Golfers Association (PGA) and is the Director of Education of the P.G.A.s of Europe. Tony is a former national coach responsible for the development of junior programmes designed to develop and identify golfing talent, along with the development and management of national teams at all levels. Learning can take many different forms, work based and situated learning, vocational training and of course the more formalised learning often associated with educational facilities, universities and colleges, all are useful in the development of coaches and athletes. Coaching rarely fits to a model, an approach which works with one athlete is unlikely to have the same results with another and so stories, examples and case study are very useful in constructing the coaches tool kit. The website will aim is to provide a vehicle in which it is possible to share best practice and experiences. We encourage coaches, trainers and athletes from all sport disciplines to contribute to the site, and if you have a piece of research or would like to share a case study then please bring it to our attention and if included we will recognise your contribution. Business. With golf alone being worth more than $80 Billion per year and over 60 million golfers worldwide, the successful follow through of your ideas can have a massive impact for existing clients, potential users, and the community. Tony and partners have a vast experience and knowledge of sport, and have assisted clients, from origination of the initial concept to management and operation of various projects. Our team has also worked on and is available for:  Business planning Course audits Coaching frameworks Golf events and tournaments at both green grass and other sites Golf tourism strategies Operating systems Golf tourism strategies Pre-opening advice Staff recruitment and training Coach Education In recent times, there has been a growth in the acceptance that irrespective of the sport, participants must have access to “expert coaches” at every level. A successful coach education programme must aim to provide coaches with a skills set of knowledge, understanding and communication which they can share with their athletes. Although the specific competencies of coaches vary across sport, it is important that all coaches develop a base skill set, with expert coaches having specific knowledge in their chosen sport. An “expert” coach must be able to share their experience and knowledge in a wide range of situations with the ultimate goal of improving the performance and or enjoyment of the athlete.
